Join us in the most delicious afternoon trip, where we will discover and enjoy the unique traditional culinary treasures of Zakynthos, in an explosive combination of flavours, aromas and music, while also learning about the island’s culture and customs when it comes to food and drink, enjoying flavours that tickle the palate.

What is included in our proposal

Our 5-hour schedule, including visits mainly to family businesses engaged in making local products, starts from your place of stay, from where we pick you up.

We continue along the wine roads, visiting vineyards and one of the friendly local wineries of the island, where you will have a guided tour of its cellar, taste the local varieties of well-known and rare Zakynthos wines and watch the entire process from production to bottling of local labels and spirits.

Our next stop is the workshop that produces the local cheese, typically called ladotyri (oil cheese) by locals. It is a product that Zakynthos is proud of, since it is a particularly spicy goat’s and sheep’s cheese matured in oil for months. Accompanied by professional cheese makers at a local business, we will follow the entire production process and learn about every stage of processing, up to the final product that will bear the ZAKYNTHOS stamp.

Zakynthos being a vast olive grove, our next stop could only be in one of the oldest and most famous oil mills of the island. Here we will taste and get to know the most important product of Zakynthos, olive oil. We’ll see how it is produced, processed and packaged. This allows for a wonderful experience with this precious product which nature gifts us with and which is very much an integral part of the Mediterranean diet.
